Back to School... Alpaca Style!!

Most of us have to go back to school at some point, and when you do, you should go in STYLE!!!

Here is a list of 10 Back-to-School Alpaca Themed necessities, and each item is under $25!

1.  $13.70 - This one is one of my favorites, its a customizable rainbow alpaca notebook! You can choose a message to have on the notebook!
2. $1.58 $0.81 - Alpaca Stickers!!! Okay, some people may not consider these school supplies, but trust me they are.
3. $4.27 - This is a super cute alpaca pencil pouch! It has a cute cartoon alpaca on it an says "docile ovis aries"
4. $22 - A customizable rainbow alpaca binder! Its a 3 ring binder that comes in 3 different sizes! It even has a matching notebook (see 1.)
5. $4.70 - An adorable alpaca pencil! Personally, I prefer mechanical pencils or pens, but this is just too adorable!
6. $5.90 - A super cute alpaca pen!! Like I said, I prefer pens, and this is super adorable, so I love this!!
7. $5.34 - A pad of laughing alpacas post-it notes! I use sticky notes a lot in school so these are really helpful! If you look on their website they also have it with a heart-eye alpaca and a sad alpaca! (if your curious look here!)
8. $12 - A spiral notebook with a drawn alpaca on it! You can also choose between graph or lined paper and you can ask for it to be a hardcover journal! (Note: a hardcover journal is $20 instead of $12)
9. $12 - Another adorable notebook with an alpaca! This notebook has an adorable cartoon alpaca on it. The same message as above about the paper and notebook styles applies to this one too.
10. $14.99 - $26.99 - Okay, for this last one I couldn't decide between two, so you get two. The first one is an alpaca backpack that comes in 9 different colors! This one seems a bit small for school and it might not fit well on your back depending on your age/size, but its still super adorable. The second one (sorry its $26.99 which doesn't make it under $25, but I just had to put it in anyways!) is a rainbow alpaca backpack! (it also comes in white) This one is a bit bigger, but it is a bit more expensive.

We're Back in Action!!! (probably)

After a long break of not posting, Marzie and I are back and will post more news, videos, and just information on alpacas. We may attempt to give a fun fact once a day, but we hope to post at least once a week. We are gonna try to be active and keep this blog alive, but the 3,000 miles between us makes it a challenge. Now that it's summer, we're more motivated and have more time. So uh... yeah. I guess... stick around.

If you live in Arizona then you're in luck!!!

This weekend is the 11th annual Alpaca Farm Days at Alpacas of the Southwest! This three day event, that has been going on since 2006, typically draws about 1,000 or more visitors each year. There will be alpaca clothes, socks, sweaters, and blankets for sale. This event features the Mohave County Gemstoners, High Desert Astronomy Club looking at solar flares and sunspots on Saturday, alpaca spinning demonstrations, and around 15 vendors selling paintings, arts and crafts, and woodwork. 

"We make $100 to $400 a year per animal on their fleece because it is that coveted," said the owner of The Alpacas of the Southwest, Ron Nyberg, "Once you own a pair of alpaca socks, you won't go back. Your feet are dry, clean, and odor-free at the end of the day."

Alpacas of the Southwest was established by Ron and Anna Nyberg in 2002.

Alpacas of the Southwest is located at 1108 McCarrell, off Interstate 40 at Blake Ranch Road. The 6-acre ranch is home to 42 alpacas, including two 4-month-old babies, with bloodlines from Peru, Bolivia and Chile.

Alpaca news is the offical newsletter for ClubAlpaca. (The name may be changed in the near future.)

It is run by the two leaders of Club Alpaca, Cobb and Marzie. It will be posted at least once a week with any upcoming news and or/ events.

Currently, the leaders of Club Alpaca live nearly 3,000 miles from each other, but from August 1st to 8th Cobb and Marzie will be meeting up! So we have lots of upcoming things planned for the future of Club Alpaca and a thing we've been doing for about a year that none of you know about, but you will very soon!

Also if any of you have any questions than feel free to ask in the comments below and we will definitely answer them! (Feel free to ask multiple, we don't have many viewers)

Tens Of Thousands Of Alpacas Die In Peruvian Cold Snap

This article is so heartbreaking and sad. I literally cried while reading this. I feel so awful for all the people and alpacas and just all the creatures there. #PrayForThePacas
